Tea type: matcha

Brand: Matcha Store Italia

How to prepare it: 60 ml at 80°C (175 °F)

Where to buy:

Dry scent:

It is really smooth and gentle: let me say refined. What catch my curiosity first is its natural sweetness in a way that i have never smell in a matcha. Of course are still present the usual, strong herbal notes of chlorophyll, but what is really surprinsing is the way in which they are shown. Moreover, at the end, there is also an intruguing "afterscent" which recalls to wood. There isn't any trace of bitterness typical of certain matchas or green teas in general.

Liquor's colour:

Bright green.

Liquor's scent:

Really consistent to the previous one, but now thw wooden notes disappear.

It's something different than the "usual matcha". What hit me firstly is still its smoothness and softness, but don't confuse

them as synonym of weak. It doesn't have an explosive taste, but here is the magic: differently from the others commercial matcha which show an aggressive taste, ofter sorrounded by bitter hint, here is totally on the opposite side. It's quite difficult to describe. What I would like to say is just that it taste like matcha; the real matcha! There are herbal notes and also something which recalls to flowers and spring in general, but never any hint of bitterness.

It's really difficult for me give a last word about this tea: let me just say that it's the best matcha that I have ever taste until now.

My score is: 10/10
