Tea type: flavoured black tea

Brand: Kodama

How to prepare it: 3 minutes, 75 °C (170 °F)

Dry scent:

It has a really light and smooth aroma - almost velvety -. The scent arises slowly, but constantly, getting sorrounded by its vanilla and citrus scents. However it's not a pure vanilla, but something more floreal which give sustain to the bergamot notes of this tea. At the end a few spicy notes are shown up.

Liquor's colour:

Dark orange.

Liquor's scent:

The main flavour here is vanilla; infact it remember a lot the vanilla flavoured tea. Now the citrus notes are quite covered by all the other scents.

At first impact there are strong notes of vanilla, but then the citrus side explodes: infact the light bergamot notes at the beginning overcome the vanilla one, showing the true earl grey

nature of this tea. The sweetness given by the vanilla dampen a lot the sourness of the bergamot, making this earl grey sweeter than the usual. It leaves a slightly astringent, sweet and citrusy aftertaste.

It's a sweeter variant of the classic earl grey, which has nothing to envy respect to the original one, especially from the intensity point of view. If you're an earl grey addicted, try this vanilla based version.

My score is: 8.5/10
