Tea type: smoked black tea

Brand: Taylors of Harrogate

How to prepare it: 4 to 5 minutes, 100 °C (212 °F)

Dry scent:

It's a smoked tea and, of course, the smoking is the main scent - it would be strange the opposite, isn't it? - : thick, pungent, but never annoying. It doesn't smell like burnt tea and at the end there is also a slightly background sweetness.

Liquor's colour:

Liquor's scent:

Really close to the dry one with a sweet smoking though now it seems to be more watery.

Smoked, but not too much: quite pungent, with definitely a sour notes given by the smoking - burnt wood -, but really enjoyable. It has a medium-body and leaves a slightly smoked astringent aftertaste.

A classic, "linear", smoked tea which know how to do its work without excess pretensions. It's quite simple, making this tea a perfect smoked every day tea. An asset is that you can find it quite easily, also at the supermarket.

My score is: 7/10
