Earl Grey

Tea type: flavoured black tea

Brand: Team Tea

How to prepare it: 4 minutes, 100 °C (212 °F)

Dry scent:

It's different respect to a classic earl grey: you can really smell the presence of a more creamy notes, - maybe custard? -. There are notes of vanilla mixed up with the citrus ones given by the bergamot, where the last ones are stronger. Really smooth and "confortable" - read creamy - and intruiging.

Liquor's colour:

Dark orange/brown.

Liquor's scent:

Exactly equal as before; however now the black tea's aroma is stronger than before, qhich was covered by all the other scent.

Light and extremely smooth: seems to be really creamy! The sour note given by the bergamot perfectly balance the the sweetness of the initial creamy sensation - it really reminds me something like citrus custard -. Truly sweet without any

bitterness. The black tea gives thickness to the brew , without overcoming all the other flavouring. It leaves an astrigent aftertaste, with a few creamy/citrus notes.

Not the usual earl grey: smoother and creamy. An interesting rivisiting which has nothing to envy from the classic recipe. A perfect afternoon tea, - the five o'clock tea - , with a some changes.

My score: 8.5/10
